This one is special guys! I am so proud of my friend Ms. Deedy Wales. From celebrity hairstylist, to one of Atlanta's biggest food truck brokers, my girl is doing it big! To know Deedy, is to see a hustle that never stops. Her sheer determination and creativity has allowed her to go from one industry to the next.
Deedy is a hair icon. She was one of the top hair influencers of the 90s and earlier 2000s. She actually received the Bobby Boss "Living Legend Award". Working with the late Kim Porter, Hype Williams, Bad Boy, LaFace, Bronner Brothers and so many more Deedy has been THAT girl! As of recent she has been working on set with the hit series B.M.F.
The last project we worked on together was 21 Savage's Grammy Award winning song "A Lot" featuring J. Cole. She was on hair and I was on makeup. The video was nominated for several awards. And now from being on sets together for everyone else. I have been working with Deedy as her makeup artist. It's beautiful to see the tables turn.
Today Deedy has transitioned all of that hustle to slangin' food trucks. Her motto is "We pull up!" She has several trucks under her company Lazy Foodies. Deedy and her staff provide food trucks for corporate events to family reunions. She has been a woman of the people and continues to build her legacy of quality service, hard hustle and great work. I am happy to see that her new business is taking off and she is looking good while doing it!
Of course the legendary, Deedy Wales, knows who to call when it's time to get star studded. I mean who isn't in her rolodex (telling my age with that one lol)?! I am glad to be in the number lol. She called of course legendary wardrobe stylist and creative director Patrick Cooper, and of course me. Together we were able to have Deedy fly, on trend, and beautiful. As we age we still are looking to trend set and I believe we nailed it with this one. The neon colored suit, silver gray hair cut with the shaved sides, fresh makeup with a bold lash, and these hand made earrings had Ms. Deedy definitely beasting.... Go head girl!
The photographer, Bryan McDaniels did a wonderful job of capturing Deedy. Check out the spread from SOFU Lifestyle Magazine.
